Summer was pretty normal. We played in water, a lot. It was hot but not Texas hot so I was sitting pretty fat and sassy all summer, reveling in the wonderful weather. Summer is apparently the 'slow' season (let me tell you there is nothing busy and crazy busy) so we got to hang out more with him than we had previously. We didn't do anything exciting really until September and October (guess moving and living on your savings till your job starts paying will do that to you.) So here are some pictures from our summer...

Our 4th of July. We went to Ihop for dinner, then made a quick run to target (those kids love to play on those architectural details) and ended our night watching fireworks. We had such a cool vantage point from our library. We were watching 3 fireworks close by but we could see the fireworks all over the valley.
More Water play, because that's how we roll.
So my kids cleaned the 'entire' house (ok, so the living, dining, and their bedrooms but seriously) for me this day I do not know what got into them but I was loving it. I was told to sit and they would clean. Now they haven't done it since, but I would really like to know where that fairy dust came from and get some more.
Oh, I forgot to mention Addie's 4 1/2 birthday party. It was Pirates and Mermaids and Addie could not have loved it more. She had such a blast!!! We had a treasure hunt, water balloon fight, a pirate ship, and a lagoon (I made the car wash pvc pipe thing - it was super easy), and of course cake and ice cream. I probably won't be doing something like that for several years. Planning a kids birthday party is stressful! Of course it was all worth it just for the joy it brought Addie
Speaking of icecream...
We did have a company party at a family fun center. I only ended up taking pictures while we were playing putt putt for some reason, but hey that's life.
