Christmas '12

So, things I forgot to mention before...Let's see. Boe left us in November and moved to Utah. Jeremy went to an impromptu job interview the first December and was gone for more than a week (I will go into better detail later.)

Christmas was interesting. We already knew we were moving so we were trying to keep gifts, um, compact (obviously except for the bike which was very specifically requested, shame it is so cold in utah.) the kids loved it though. Like soooo much

We did quite a few treats and crafts. Of course Jeremy week off where we could do all sorts of Family fun stuff, he got sick with what we had the week(s) before. But it was still an amazing Christmas.

Merry (belated) Christmas everyone!

Addie's bday 2012

**Disclaimer: I am planning on catching up with my post now that I am not frantically packing and moving :) I will also throw up my new years resolutions and our impromptu move (Though it will probably come out all truncated by the end of it all.**

Addie's birthday was perfect if you ask her (and that is what matters,) but I felt bad for her. Barrett got really bad sick about 2 days before her bday, like we weren't allowed to do anything but hold him sick. However, every break was dedicated to Addie.

In the morning we made a wonderful breakfast, Addie's favorite, pancakes (if I remember correctly her's had chocolate chips in them) and since Barrett was still sick we gave her her presents right away (so she could play with them all day.)

I then took her out to get her birthday cake (since I didn't have time to make it.) She specifically wanted a chocolate cake with blue frosting. The lady at the bakery added blue sprinkles which Addie totally flipped for.

That night after Barrett went down we ate cake and icecream and played her favorite games (they are uno and Sequence for kids, both I would recommend.) She got to stay up a whole hour extra  past her bed time. She was in heaven :)

Thanksgiving '12

I would do a post on Jer's bday, but it turned out kind of sad. I had gone through the pains of orchestrating this amazing surprise for Jeremy and it went up in smokes. Addie caught the flu, then Barrett, then I. (By the way we were sick most of November and the beginning of December)

I had secured Les Mis tickets while they were going to be in Houston (Nov 12, I believe.) I had gone through so many hoops to keep it a secret and then the flu hit. Addie got it first, then Barrett, then I got it the day before the event. Thankfully I was able to sell the tickets, but Jeremy had like 2 secs to be excited about it before we were selling the tickets. It actually did turn out ok, We did put the money to a really worthy cause that I will hopefully be able to write about soon.

----------------------------------------

Thanksgiving turned out funny. I don't know why, it just did. We had invited 4 families/people over for dinner. One went to Utah because their house sold, one caught a stomach bug, one's sibling had to go to the hospital so they were there all day, and I don't remember why the fourth didn't make it, it was so long ago. So I ended up with a ton of food (no we didn't eat all of this, we gave at least half of it away) and it was just us. I felt bad later because I found out someone I thought wasn't in town, was and they didn't get thanksgiving dinner (Sorry Abby!)

Jeremy's version of Thanksgiving breakfast. lol.
