As requested, beautiful Adalaigh

I have been slacking on my picture taking but with Jer, addie, and I being sick for almost 2 weeks (In that order never at the same time) there have been alot of time for pictures. So as requested by many here are a couple pictures and a video of Addie. And yes! She really is just that cute!!!

She has started giving me many smiles for the camera though she does want to take the camera anytime she sees it (so it is still relatively hard to "catch her in the act")

Addie love playing peek-a-boo. Her favorite is around doors but she plays with blankets and towels too.

Polishing off my designer skills(?)...

I love looking on the internet at projects people do in their house (interior decorating wise). It has become I guess sort of a past time for me. I just love seeing how inventive people can be with what the find and what not. (Rate my space on HGTV.com is so fun)

I am personally a Traditionalist in taste, but I can appreciate the other design styles and I like pulling from them when I think of designing/decorating my own house.

So for my first project I am planning (Not doing yet, have to save up for that!) Addie's and any other future little girls/big girls room. So I thought I would share my Inspiration because, well I find it fun and maybe you will too.
There are a couple things I am planning on creating myself, others I will eventually maybe buy (haha I love how hypothetical this post is!)

-----------------------------------

So my idea is Princess (duh) mixed with cottage bedroom. I want neutral and soft colors so that it will work as she/they grow older and if/when we move again. I found this bedding and I absolutely loved it! I felt it was totally what I was going for without going over the top with frills.

I found this frame on etsy.com (I love etsy!) I already have a couple of frames (by a couple i mean 2 and neither are on the wall currently) but I think this is my favorite. What is really nice is since I am in an older area I can probably get some recycled wood (I actually have looked on craigslist and have found several ppl selling old barn wood). My hope is to maybe even mimic this look in something else that I might be able to make (i.e. shelves, headboard, etc.)

I have some dragonfly lights that I am planning on putting up. Not the same as the picture but still very pretty.

I also would love to add a storage bench (possible at the foot of the bed or under a window) that could hold toys, blankets, or whatever but still be comfortable (ish) to sit on.

I was also thinking of adding painted furniture (DI/Salvation Army anyone?) Because it would tie in pretty easily.

Well that is it, mostly because I am feeling a nap coming on.

Oh on a related note. BabiesRUs is doing a Win your Dream Nursery Sweepstakes. Thought I would share, Oh and if you win over me, you know you we will have to best buds forever! ;)

SlackerRUs

OKAY, so we aren't actually slackers. If I was slacking off I guess I would have been on here way more than I have been. I have finally gotten some time to sit back and...well do nothing I suppose. For this hour or so at least.
We have been throwing ourselves into work and responsibilities. I have enough time at the end of the day for me to think what I need to do next before I pass out from exhaustion.
The funny thing is I KNOW (seriously I KNOW!) that things can be crazier. Things I expect will get more hectic as time goes on, so I have been taking me time when I can (this is mostly for my husbands sake. Poor guy has to deal with my crazies when I get to overwhelmed. He is so the best husband I could have ever imagined!!!!!!)

Okay first I would like to say the workout program I am on is AWESOME!!! I just wish I was actually losing weight. I am fit, have a ton of energy, I have a waist and blah blah blah. And I know this is going to come (and maybe would have already came if hadn't skipped 2 days this week, so bad am I)so I am just trying to hold on to my will power.

I have been reading, and oh how nice it is to hear myself again. I forgot how much I loved it. The Help was great. It isn't on my "Favorite, must read over and over again" list. But I am glad that I have a copy so that when I feel like being sucked into Mississippi in the 1960s I have my out. I have started The Princess Bride and am so excited. I got the abridged version so not to get a genealogy lesson and get to "the good stuff." My inter-library loan of Beauty came today so it is next on my list (I can not read more than one book at a time, a talent I wish I had)

So let me brag about my adorable daughter for a little bit. She is so sweet and cute. She is not very big but walks and even tries to run (its more of a power run with her upper body flung back.) She has started throwing tiny little fits :( but so far I have been able to nip them in the bud. She talks ALL the time though I have no idea what she is talking about (though it appears to be important!) Oh, and I am sorry if she has called you. That is a new trait that I am trying to keep up with. But if you call here she will more than happy to oblige in taking the phone away from mommy or daddy so she can talk to you. She sings, she dances, she laughs all the time.

I am so lucky to have such a wonderful, perfect ::Cough:: family.
