Adventures at the pool
We went to the pool a week (or 2?) ago. Addie LOVED it. It was such a beautiful day out too. There were water slides, and a lazy river, a little kids water area with water guns and fountains and things, and the big pool.

Her favorite was the big pool, which surprised me but I was so happy that she loved it.

I love when Plans take and wonderful turn!
So last I told you I was going to do my entertainment center I was planning on just buying an old piece and redoing it. Well I changed my mind.
After a couple of weeks of research I found some good pieces but there was always something I was trying to avoid with each piece I found. So I scratched my plan. I am now building one.
That's right ladies (for I doubt guys are reading this...not really a guy thing.)
My mom put me onto the AWESOME (AWESOME!) website Knock-Off Wood
that has me SO excited. I thought of going home just to start the project!!!

Making Memories
Today we went out for lunch. We were planning on going to the park when all the sudden we see this Carousel and Ice cream place. We promptly did a right turn and made a bee line for it!
Addie thought it was way fun but was a little apprehensive about it. (see her in the back middle just holding on? Didn't turn out as funny on photo as it was)

She was ready to get off by the time the thing stopped. When Jer put her on this horse so I could get a better pic she was...well lets just say not pleased.

So we ate our Ice cream (Yum!) and were planning on leaving but Addie became intrigued with this big enormous contraption again. I figure that if she is curious lets give this one more go (around...hehe)

Jer says I have special mommy powers cause she really enjoyed it the second time (I just put her on a stationary horse.) When the ride ended she look very offended that I would ever take her off such a magnificent beast.

Loves my mother past on to me
I find it interesting those things you grumble about when you were younger. How you end up thinking what a pill you were and hanging you adult head in shame. Okay well maybe not serious but still, as a person who was a good teenager I still had my moments.
One of those moments for me was going to yard sales. I would be woken up so early and was so groggy the entire time, that I hated that my mother would drag me along. My last couple of years at home I would avoid them like the plague. "With school, work, and seminary the last thing I needed to do was go look at junk way early in the morning." was my thinking.
However, we would most times than not, go antiquing at the end of the day. I am not sure if she knew the love I had for antiques or if it was her own passion. Possible her own love that was passed on to me. Who knows I suppose.

Found on Craigslist- How gorgeous is this! A 1940 oak dresser. I ♥ this! Sigh.
---------------------------------------
With all that said, I have been looking for a new entertainment center. Ours is currently a chest of drawers that addie has learned to climb right before we left. And while in Montana Addie has also learned to open dvd cases (yipee!)
Note: I get rather obsess when I get ideas in my head. I do as much research as possible so I have a good idea if it is possible, and if so how much, and what options are open to me that would fulfill my need.
After comparing prices of those options currently available to me I have decided to redo a cheap(er) entertainment center. Most of these are safety reason with a dash of storage in there.

My inspiration piece- From PureStyleHome.blogspot.com
I love the internet. You can google what you are trying to do and it will bring up instructions/show you what others have done. That is how I got my inspiration piece. PureStyleHome and LifeintheFunLane among others have given me so many ideas. I am ready to start as soon as I get Home!
So if anyone wants to come do some antiquing and cheap furniture shopping with me. I will be doing so as soon as I get back. ;)
