Crazy couple of days

My (as in Maria's) family came in from out of town this week. They arrived Wednesday and are leaving later tonight. I really should have taken more pictures but I didn't even think of it till yesterday (...don't ask me).















Here is Nana Juarez holding Addie. Addie was a huge fan of the extra set of arms that loved to hold her.














Here is another one that includes Uncle Marcus. (My mom makes great faces!)

Addie was so whooped by all the traveling and get togethers that she just couldn't take it anymore by the end. She slept wherever and whenever she could.

We've made it!!!!

Addie is one month old today!!!! I am afraid this is the only picture I have new today.

Its been a crazy roller coaster between 3 and 4 weeks. Addie has acquired her first rash which hopefully will clear up this week but could take another month!! We have also learned she does not like it when I have anything diary. It took me about 4 days, 3 of which I was alone cause Jeremy went to California, to figure this out. But she is happy again which makes me happy!!!

Wakeful Moments

We have hit the quiet wakeful moments, especially the last couple days. So those are the photos we got ;)































Here she is jamming out in the swing Nanna Juarez got her.

"Wow, look at that hair!"

We get that statement alot! What makes it really funny would be Jer. He loves to puff up Addie's hair.
The other night we gave Addie a bath then I hand her off to Jer so I could take a shower. 10 minutes later when I got out I come out to find Addie's hair just like this. I figured he wouldn't have time to puff it up but apparently he did :D

"But she's so cute honey..."

So I haven't actually done a real post in a while so I figured I would go get one out of the way ;)

So Jeremy has observed that Addie has things she does not like but at the same time things she likes to do that correspond with those things. Now I have not notice these trends but he promises me that they do exist. I thought I would list a couple of them.

1.) Addie does not like having her diaper changed. It makes her pretty irate. She throws all kinds of fits when this happens and well, she's just not a fan.
On the other hand Addie loves to pee (and the occasional poo if she can manage it) on Daddy. She takes it as sort of a challenge when he decides to change her. Every once in a while she will re-dirty her diaper just to get a second shot at him.




















2.) Addie doesn't like it that daddy won't give her milk.
So instead she gives him milk that mommy gave to her. Even if she has already been burped, she finds a way to make sure daddy get the nutrients he deserves!!















3.) Addie doesn't like to be cold or wet (hence the diaper changing).
However, Jeremy tells me that no matter how much wraps (or re-wraps) her she thinks its funny to kick off all the covers as soon as he 'turns around.'















Okay now for some legitimate loves of Addie ;)

She loves being sung to and listening to classical music.

She loves the swing that Nanna Juarez got for her.















She loves car rides and her car seat.

She loves when you talk to her. She almost always smiles when given such good attention.

Addie loves being held. Its probably her favorite thing ever. She will sleep all day in your arms if she could. If she is touching skin, it makes her even happier.
















Anyways, we loves all of you and baby raising is going great (well, as well as can be expected). We both feel really fortunate to have her as well as to have all of you for support. Love you guys.

Addie is up and around more than she was in the beginning which has given us some really cute picture opportunities (as well as a little less sleep for me and Jer when she decides its time to be up and about at 3 in the morning).

















This picture is from her taking a nap. We got to keep an eye on her because she like to roll over on her side but it makes for some adorable pictures.
















Here she is sleeping away again. Jer is so smitten with Adalaigh (me too, of course). I will post more picture soon (Addie is waking).
